Hi! I’m Sola, founder of MasterOfficeVBA – and that guy at your office everyone calls on whenever Excel or Word is causing grief. I’m guessing that’s why you’re here. No worries, I’m still that guy – and, with my help, you’ll soon be, too!
Do you find yourself stressed out by repetitive, cumbersome, or time-consuming tasks in your Microsoft Office apps? Would you like to transform that Office chaos into seamless productivity and efficiency? Great! MasterOfficeVBA’s got you covered with well researched and validated content on visual basic for applications (VBA) programming and automation.
MasterOfficeVBA breaks down the creation of high-quality VBA programs in Microsoft Office applications. Emphasis is placed on adopting the very best practices for correct, reliable, maintainable, and efficient programs.
Did someone just ask, “Who is this guy though? Why should I take him seriously on this stuff?” Relax, I know it wasn’t you… but I’ll spill anyway.
I’m a certified Mechanical, Subsea, and Pipeline Engineer who spends his days designing submarine pipeline systems and managing offshore hardware procurement and delivery. I’ve enjoyed doing that for eight years and counting! In that time, I’ve come to know the drivers of excellent design execution – shockingly, it isn’t a basement full of bats and fancy gadgets!
Well, there is one “fancy gadget” I’ve used extensively and to great effect, Microsoft Office. My relationship with Office and VBA programming began back in 2007 when I took a summer class on it. I was hooked from “Hello, world!” and have since completed tons of VBA projects as I made my way from summer class through undergraduate, graduate school, and almost a decade of analytical engineering work.
Speaking of school, I’ve made my way through a few. I guess I should fill you in on that too, right?
In 2012, I earned a Master’s degree in Subsea Engineering from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom – and bagged The Elf Prize for best student en-route. Two years before that, I earned a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria – and bagged the prestigious PTDF Scholarship afterwards.
Alvin Toffler once said, “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” In my bid to not run afoul of Mr Toffler, I’ve maintained a voracious appetite for learning, unlearning, and re-learning mainly through massive open online courses (MOOCs).
Speaking of school, I’ve tried my hand at a thing or two. I guess I should fill you in on that too, right?
